DCU Business School

Our Hosts

DCU has been announced as the venue sponsor for WordCamp Dublin 2019 – #WCDublin – and we’re delighted!

WordCamp Dublin 2019 organisers are also extremely grateful for the opportunity.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh!

The first WordCamp Dublin was held in 2017 in DCU Business School. The space provided at the venue was responsible for many compliments over the weekend. Additionally, a number of the volunteers who assisted with running the event on the day were students of the Business School. (MSc Digital Marketing)

DCU Ability

The wider WordPress community is focussed on improving accessibility – of websites and at events.  We are delighted to have our event hosted at a University who are striving to make changes also:

The first students of DCU Ability, a programme that helps young people between the ages of eighteen and twenty-nine with disabilities to improve their employment prospects and achieve their full potential, have completed their training programme.  A pilot group of six students completed the thirteen week course which included career preparation, work experience, personal and interpersonal skills, personal effectiveness, and health and safety in the workplace. These students are now able to head on with confidence to work placements across DCU and partner companies.
