Where to Stay

Given that the afterparty will be in Dublin city centre, and that the most fun in the evening happens in the centre, we recommend finding a place in D2 (Dublin 2, just South of the river Liffey) or D1 (Dublin 1, just North of the river). Trip Advisor have the following suggestions for Dublin Hotels & Places to Stay.

Whilst we can’t recommend anywhere specifically, we do advise checking out some reviews prior to making a commitment.

DCU Accommodation

There is limited accommodation available on the DCU campus, which is a few minutes walk from the conference venue. You can make a reservation and find more information on the campus-operated DCU Accommodation website. It’s typically around €79 per single room B&B and €139 for a twin room B&B.

Guests can check in at the DCU Accommodation reception desk which is open Monday to Friday at 9 pm – 5 pm. On weekends security have all the keys to check in. Dublin City Centre Accommodation

The hotels and guesthouses below are a small selection of what is available in Dublin. You will also find quite a few places to stay in Dublin 9 on Airbnb.

Here is a selection of hotels all within 30 minutes by car of the DCU campus. Free Now app is a pretty good taxi service you may wish to consider using and is similar to Uber.

NOTE: Dublin hotels tend to sell out well in advance so please book early to avoid disappointment!

Close to Dublin Airport?

DCU is 11 minutes from Dublin Airport by car, so that’s another option. The airport is also served well by buses which would make the after-party accessible. Click this link to Dublin Airport – Dublin Buses information

Got your own wheels?

There are some nice options on the north side of the city such as Swords, Malahide and Portmarnock if you feel like getting a bit of a sea breeze. Travelling time would be approx 12-20 mins.
