As Lead Organiser for WordCamp Dublin 2019, Lesley works alongside a co-organising team and team volunteers. The team is made up of volunteers who either live, work or have a long connection with Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Lesley is Web Design and Digital Marketeer at SenSys Technology & Killeen Engineering, in Co. Meath, Ireland. She recently completed a Masters in Design Innovation at Maynooth University.
In 2016, she first became interested in WordPress and began attending Meetups in Dublin. Finding the community to be very welcoming, she heard the call for volunteers at WordCamp Dublin and put her name down. She was hooked and has not looked back since. She subsequently became an co-organiser for WordCamp Belfast in 2018 and now Dublin in 2019, where she is leading on marketing content for the event and recruitment.
Moving to Dublin aged 12, Lesley went to secondary school in Raheny, Dublin 5. Her first job was in Howth County Dublin followed by 15 years in Dublin City. She is delighted to be able to help bring another WordCamp to the island of Ireland and to share with attendees the delights of her home city.
