WordCamp Dublin 2017 is going to be loaded with amazing talks, workshops, and experiences. It\u2019s a place to exchange ideas, learn new things, and connect with different members of the WordPress Community.<\/p>\n

And to add to those experiences we will have a WP Help Desk this year!\u00a0The WP Help Desk (formerly “Happiness Bar”)<\/strong> is a desk staffed by volunteer WordPress experts where you can ask questions and get help on a 1-to-1 basis.<\/p>\n

The WP Help Desk is great place to get hands on help and answers to your pressing WordPress questions. It\u2019s not where we hand out stickers and swag. It\u2019s not the place where we serve refreshments. It\u2019s the place for you to get the WordPress solutions you need from people who genuinely want to help.

1. Prepare your questions before the event<\/h2>\n

Got some WP questions you can’t find the answer to? Come prepared then with a list of things you want the volunteers to help you with \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

2. Bring your laptop if you wish<\/h2>\n

We recommend bringing your laptop, tablet, or smartphone when you come to the WP Help Desk.<\/p>\n

Volunteers will be hands on, potentially walking you through different settings on your site, or showing you articles to resolve your issue.<\/p>\n

3. Don’t be shy – there is no such a thing as a “silly” question<\/h2>\n

You should feel comfortable asking any question you like, as long as the question is WordPress related.<\/p>\n

We cater to users of all skill levels. If you have a question about your site that you do not know how to solve, don\u2019t hesitate to ask for help!<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0We may not have all the answers… but we know someone who does<\/h2>\n

Not every member of the WP Hep Desk will have all the answers, but we know how to tap each other on the shoulder to ask for help.<\/p>\n

Many volunteers know a lot of people within the WordPress Community, including our amazing speakers<\/a>\u00a0– you never know!<\/p>\n

5. Bring your friends<\/h2>\n

If you overhear someone at the WordCamp talking about problems with their site or questions they have about WordPress, send them to the WP Hep Desk!<\/p>\n

You may not have any questions yourself, but maybe you have someone who needs help… but is too afraid to ask \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
