The Drumcondra Train Station is currently the closest train station to DCU (approx 25\/30 mins walk). There are now direct connections to Drumcondra from both Dublin Connolly and Dublin Heuston. No <strong>Overnight Parking<\/strong> is permitted without prior authorisation. Clamping is in operation throughout the campus.<\/p>\n<p>You must use CP1 (Car Park 1). There are 4 pay stations. Two are located in the car park lobby which is located opposite the Helix and The Estates Office.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dcu.ie\/estates\/parking.shtml\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.dcu.ie\/sites\/default\/files\/estates\/images\/DCU_CampusMap_CarParks.jpg?resize=800%2C578\" width=\"800\" height=\"578\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Where to Stay<\/h2>\n<p>If you decide to spend the weekend in Dublin, we generally advise NOT to look for accommodation close to the venue as there&#8217;s not a lot to see and do close by to the venue. (We do have one exception however which is on campus accommodation, the details of which are provided below).<\/p>\n<p>Given that the afterparty will be in Dublin city center, and that the &#8220;craic&#8221; happens in the center, we recommend to find a place in D2 (Dublin 2, just South of the river Liffey) or D1 (Dublin 1, just North of the river).<\/p>\n<h3>Hotels and Guesthouses in Dublin<\/h3>\n<h4>DCU Accommodation<\/h4>\n<p>There is limited accommodation available on the DCU campus where the conference is taking place via the campus-operated <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dcuaccommodation.ie\/\">DCU Accommodation<\/a>. They have provided a special discounted room rate for WordCamp Dublin attendees. <strong>Rates are \u20ac80 per night single occupancy or \u20ac100 per night double\/twin occupancy.\u00a0<\/strong>This is extremely competitive considering room rates for hotels in Dublin.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"525\" height=\"296\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Kq55DmK0O94?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-GB&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The accommodation is 2 bedroom self catering apartments. Linen and towels are provided and WIFI is included. Guests can check in at the DCU Accommodation reception desk which is open Monday to Friday 9 &#8211; 5pm. On weekends security have all the keys for check in. Availability is limited so if you wish to stay very close to the conference venue we recommend you book early!
