WordCamp Dublin believes that nobody should be denied the opportunity to learn, use and take advantage of WordPress – including our young ones!
WordPress was used by approximately 28% of all websites as of February 2017 and is the most popular website CMS, supporting more than 60 million websites.
To that end, we want young people (anyone aged 7 to 17) to attend WordCamp Dublin 2017. We want them to be present, as well as giving them the chance to listen to, meet and chat with bloggers, designers, developers, authors, marketers, SEOs, businesses, non-profits, photographers, consultants, entrepreneurs – everyone who loves and uses WordPress.
To celebrate WordPress at a young age, we’ve decided to run a fun contest, so that you and your child can win a pair of tickets worth €70 to attend the full 2-day event!
How’d you like that?
Well, our contest is super easy!
To enter, simply share via the comments your child’s online business idea.
Did they just come up with this while chasing a football? Or maybe while playing video games? Or while chasing their dog? Ever overheard anything?
Yes. We’re all full of ideas and according to Web Summit’s Marcus Segal (also former COO of Zynga Games), “School-goers should not wait until they have graduated to set up a business. Anyone can start a company, you don’t have to wait until you’re out of school. Kids can start companies” (source)
Wish to attend WordCamp Dublin 2017 at DCU Business School on October 14th-15th?
Great, share your child business idea and on October 4th winners will be announced!
