Help us make WordCamp Dublin 2017 memorable!
Deadline: 7th September 2017 Now Closed
Call for Volunteers
WordPress is one of the most inclusive pieces of software today, and WordCamps — conferences about WordPress itself — are too. To make each WordCamp as inclusive as possible, we really, really need your help 🙂
Being a volunteer is a rewarding and fulfilling experience. It gives you the opportunity to greet and help out attendees, coordinate speakers, get access to the exclusive free speaker/organiser/volunteer dinner and much more!
We need YOUR help
For our first ever WordCamp Dublin, we expect 250+ attendees. So, do you want to make a difference and become part of our volunteers’ team?
Being a volunteer is more than just giving a hand. It’s a unique way of showing your support for the growing WordPress community and getting involved with the WordPress project itself.
If you’re willing to help, here’s what we’re looking for:
- 6x Meet & greet volunteers to check attendees in and give out swag (4x 8-10am, 2x 10-12pm)
- 4x MC volunteers to introduce, time keep and coordinate speakers (4hrs shift)
- 4x Tech volunteers: A/V. laptop, projector, mic (4hrs shift)
- 4x Photographers
- 4x Food volunteers: ensuring food/drinks are available in the hall
- 8x Happiness Bar: answering general WordPress questions (4x 1hrs shift)
How to apply and become an official volunteer
Remember, as a volunteer at WordCamp Dublin, you will:
- Get an inside look at the planning stages of the conference
- Be an essential part of the event on the day
- Have the opportunity to meet interesting WordPress people
- Be on the ground, meeting WordCamp attendees and great speakers
- Receive an exclusive, volunteer-only t-shirt
- Receive kudos for your time, attention and efforts
Convinced yet?
We have now received more than enough applications, if you have applied to speak – we will be in-touch very soon!
A huge thanks to all who have offered their help.
