We wrote a series of blog posts to help you choose the most appropriate #WCDUB sessions.
Today, it’s all about WordPress for beginners. Are you planning to build your own website? Are you customising WordPress the right way? Do you need to work on SEO? Or maybe you need to build a custom booking system?
Excellent, we’ve got you covered 🙂
We’ve organised WordCamp Dublin 2017 so you can spend 2 full days with bloggers, authors, marketers, SEOs, businesses, non-profits, web agencies, consultants, developers, designers, entrepreneurs – as well as everyone who loves and uses WordPress – for a ridiculously cheap ticket price.
So, here are the talks you shouldn’t miss – at the bottom of the post you will find a link to the full schedule.
1. Build your own WordPress website
Manoj will present: “The Dummies Guide to building a WordPress website quickly” at 10:15 am on Saturday. In 30 minutes you will learn how to build your own WordPress website in case you haven’t tried that yet. A couple of clicks and off you go 🙂
The day after, at the same time, Luminus from WooCommerce will present “Workshop: WooCommerce for Fun & Profit – How to get started and maximize your bottom line”. Simply install WooCommerce with one click, and turn your existing WordPress site into an online shop.
2. Customise WP the right way
Damien kicks off the whole conference on Saturday 9:15 am. Yes, child themes are the key to WordPress themes & plugins customisation.
Join him if you want to learn why this is the ONLY way possible to modify the look and behaviour of your WordPress website!
3. Build a custom booking website
WordPress can be used for every application. Tim will show you in under 30 minutes how to create “an Attendee Event Website from scratch” by using 2017 default theme!
Definitely a not to be missed workshop!
4. Learn SEO
If you’re interested in growing your website traffic, we already covered this in a previous post. All you need to do is listening to Google itself (feel free to thank Googler Juan Felipe)!
5. Getting to know Gutenberg
Gutenberg will be the new content editor for WordPress starting next year. They’re completely changing the way we add content to pages/posts.
And there is no better than Tammie, Gutenberg design lead, to explain what’s coming up!

Till next time…
